Luminaria has announced an open call for artists. The two night, downtown celebration of the arts, Luminaria, is accepting applications for performers and artists to take part in the event. Luminaria also moved the dates again. Last year's event took place in November, this year's will take place October 23 & 24. The footprint has also changed to run along Jones Avenue in front of the San Antonio Museum of Art across Broadway to the soon-to-be-renovated Maverick Park.
The application requires:
Artist Resume (2 page maximum),
2 - 10 media samples (image, video, and/or sound files),
a project summary (a short project description),
a project proposal (a detailed description with illustrations of the production and its artistic goals),
a detailed budget (Luminaria provides, stage, electricity, and basic site needs. Please include projectors, monitors, etc. in your budget.)
All works must be created specifically for Luminaria, unless Luminaria is also its Texas or US premiere. Art work sales are not permitted at the festival. Full details here.
