Summer hasn't officially arrived yet, but live music in San Antonio is about to shift in to high gear. Beginning this Friday May 15th, the Artpace & KRTU Rooftop Jazz Concert Series kicks off with Elias Haslanger and Church on Monday. Each night is centered around a theme that focuses on an historical figure or specific style and includes projections by visual artists. Due to the immense popularity of the series, the night is available to members of KRTU or Artpace only. You can score an annual membership starting at only $35 here.
The Coors Light Free Concert Series at the Arneson River Theatre begins Tuesday night with hiphop artists Carlton Zues, Mexican Stepgrandfather and Chisme. The show is free and open to the public. There is also free parking at City-Operated parking garages since it's Tuesday.
The TWOTEN EMPIRE Concert Series begins in a few weeks at the Empire Theater on June 5th. San Antonio's The Lost Project celebrates the release their debut full-length album "Far From Where You Are" on this night, with Pop Pistol in tow. The TWOTEN EMPIRE concert series will be a monthly event with 5 installments, all will feature local artists on our historic downtown stage.
