Thundercat Coming to San Antonio

Thundercat announced North American tour dates that includes a stop in San Antonio. On September 25, the bassist, producer will perform at Alamo City Club (the smaller portion of Alamo City Music Hall) in support of his surprise mini-album The Beyond / Where The Giants Roam.

Stephen Bruner, aka Thundercat, grew to prominence as the go-to bassist for Flying Lotus, having been featured on FlyLo albums as well as various Kendrick Lamar songs. Bruner comes from a musical background with his father having performed drums with Diana Ross and the Temptations. His brother Ronald was part of Suicidal Tendencies.

Thundercat's fusion of jazz and modern electronic music has been explored successfully by the likes of Squarepusher and a few others, but Thundercat adds a 70s funk to the jazz-electronica medley with basslines that disco-walk out our speakers.

This concert is A MUST.
