Smithsonian's National Museum of History Profiles Anthrax

The Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History posted the above video profile of Anthrax, "How New York of the '80s Helped Influence Anthrax to Create East Coast Thrash," as part of its Places of Invention Exhibit. In 2016, Anthrax will celebrate their 35th anniversary as a band with the release of For All Kings due out February 26.

The video shows clips with audio from how an Anthrax & Public Enemy collaboration took place. Scott Ian talks about how a lot of other rock oriented musicians at the time weren't too fond of hip-hop but Anthrax was and wanted to do a track with Public Enemy.
