If you stand at the corner of Blanco and Hildebrandt, you could see like 5 or 6 different places to get tacos. From the Super Burritos to Blanco Cafe just a skip over, you can't throw a comal without hitting a place to get Mexican food, and now, our very own TACO FESTIVAL.
Taco Fest boasts a dope lineup with La Santa Cecilia, Brownout Presents Brown Sabbath, Santiago Jimenez, Jr., Girl in a Coma, Money Chicha, El Conjunto Nueva Ola, Piñata Protest, Femina-X, Bombasta, Los #3 Dinners, Grupo Frackaso, Eddie & the Valiants, and more.
The one thing that will truly kick ass about this festival: $2 Tacos!! That's right, every vendor out of 30+ will offer at least one $2 taco along with sides and other menu items. Modelo Beer, Deep Eddy vodka cocktails, wine, aguas frescas, and other non-alcoholic beverages will be available for sale. Participating restaurants include Chisme, Tommy's Restaurant, Soluna, Tomatillos, Don Pablo’s, Garibaldi Mexican Restaurant, La Casa de Barbacoa, Los Cocos Mexican Restaurant and Frutería, Mr. Meximum, Chela’s Tacos and Marioli, with more confirmed daily.
Festival tickets range from $15 - $75, with children ages 10 and under free. Special Flash Sale pricing will be available between February 21 - March 1 at www.tacomusicfest.com. Advance tickets are on sale beginning on March 2, with prices increasing the day of the fest.
